DURAN DURAN
DURAN DURAN AKA THE WEDDING ALBUM AND THANK YOU TO BE ISSUED ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THEIR ORIGINAL RELEASE
2LP AND 1CD SETS AVAILABLE APRIL 10
On April 10, Duran Duran will bring 1993’s Duran Duran (The Wedding Album) and 1995’s Thank You back to vinyl for the first time since their original release. Both albums will be reissued as 2LP sets and on CD, with pre-orders available now here.
Following last summer’s acclaimed vinyl and CD reissues of their first five studio albums — Duran Duran, Rio, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, Notorious and Big Thing — the band now presents The Wedding Album and Thank You in newly remastered editions. Both titles feature the latest audio remasters, with the vinyl configurations expanded to deluxe 2LP formats.
The Wedding Album is housed in a newly embossed sleeve and accompanied by a 12-inch art card, while Thank You is presented in a gatefold sleeve with a fold-out poster faithfully replicating the original release. The updated CD editions are packaged in paper sleeves, replacing the original jewel cases.
Released in 1993, Duran Duran — the band’s second eponymous record, affectionately known as The Wedding Album — debuted in the top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic. Anchored by the worldwide successes “Ordinary World” and “Come Undone,” it remains a defining milestone in their storied career, showcasing the band in commanding creative form.
Thank You was the 1995 follow-up album of covers featuring Duran Duran's versions of classic songs written by Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Lou Reed, Public Enemy and Elvis Costello.
The album charted in the top 20 of both the UK and US charts, and Lou Reed called their version of "Perfect Day" "the best cover ever completed of one of my own songs". The opening track, Duran Duran’s cover of Grandmaster Melle Mel’s "White Lines (Don’t Do It)," remains a fan favorite in the band’s live show to this day.
Looking ahead, Duran Duran have already announced major live performances for 2026. After headlining the Beachlife Festival in Redondo Beach, California, in May, the band will return to Las Vegas for four shows at the BleauLive Theater at Fontainbleau Vegas. The summer run continues across Europe in June and July with appearances in Kværndrup at the Heartland Festival; Prague at the O2 Arena; Budapest at the Papp László Sportaréna; and in Skopje at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center. In July, they will also perform three special concerts in Italy at the Arena di Verona, the Reggia di Caserta, and Villa Manin. Check out the full list of tour dates here.
Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, scored 18 American hit singles and 21 UK Top 20 tunes, making them one of the most successful and influential bands of all time. They have also been honoured with eight lifetime achievement awards, two GRAMMY Awards, two BRITs, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, and two Ivor Novellos, one of which was for their Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
